Overview

Astro Novalite (designation M-002) is a Main Character support introduced on June 14, 2024. He trades the 2-Health weakness every Main shares for the highest Stealth in the game and a kit built around keeping teammates running. His Nap Time active restores a chosen Toon's Stamina, while Well Rested acts like a permanent Stamina Candy, making him the backbone of deep-run comps alongside Pebble.

Stats

Astro's spread is unusually well-rounded for a Main Character, with Stealth as the clear standout. That 5-star Stealth is what lets him finish unsafe Machines right under a Twisted's nose and avoid being re-targeted once a chase locks onto someone else. His below-average Extraction Speed is the main reason he plays support over pure extraction, a role better filled by Shelly. Because he lacks a dominant 5-star extraction stat, his value comes from sustain and safe-Machine finishing rather than raw Machine speed.

Abilities

Astro's two abilities form a self-sufficient stamina engine. Nap Time is one of the strongest team tools in the game for sustain-heavy comps, and Well Rested means he rarely needs Stamina items himself, freeing them up for a chasing distractor. How to Play Astro

Astro rewards patient, reactive play over aggression. Lean on your Stealth to take the unsafe Machines nobody else will touch, then spend Nap Time bailing out whoever is currently being chased. His higher Stamina regen also means he can last longer in a kite than most mains if managed well, so do not be afraid to peel a Twisted off a teammate. Astro's kit leaves him flexible on items and trinkets, since Well Rested covers Stamina. Focus survivability and extraction speed instead, and chip away at his Mastery to unlock the Vintage skin. Lore & Personality

Astro is an introverted, calm Toon with a dream-and-space motif: a crescent-moon face, a sleeping cap, and four arms hidden under a blanket. He is famously camera-shy, dislikes being the center of attention, and Gardenview rules even forbid photographing him, a nod to how camera flashes ruin healthy sleep.

He speaks formally but quietly helps friends through their troubles, especially by giving them good dreams. He is close to his handler Austin Russo and protective of Vee, who looks out for him in return. As the first Main Character that does not require another Toon's Mastery to unlock, he is also one of the easiest mains to pick up.

In lore, Dandy goes silent when you buy Astro, hinting that Astro witnessed the Ichor incident and both are afraid to address it. That quiet tension makes him one of the most story-rich mains alongside the rest of the Main Character roster.
